What it is

AI shopping agents asking your store's own shopping endpoint can't find some of your products by name, or describe them: a product comes back with no description or as unavailable, or a shipping or returns question gets no answer.

ChatGPT, Perplexity and Copilot do not browse your theme when a shopper asks them for a product; they ask your store directly, through the endpoint Shopify runs for every store. An agent recommends what it can find and describe, and answers a shopper's question from what your store tells it. Product descriptions and the answers in your policies and FAQ are edited in Shopify admin.
