What is a rage click?
A rage click is a rapid burst of clicks on the same element in a short window, which shows that a shopper expected a response and got none, or got it too slowly. It is a stronger frustration signal than a single dead click, because the shopper tried several times before giving up.

In more detail
Rage clicks separate two failures that look the same in aggregate metrics: something broken, and something merely slow. An element that eventually responds after a long pause produces rage clicks without producing dead clicks.
As a signal it is best used to rank rather than to diagnose. The element tells you where to look; the sequence of steps in the session tells you what actually happened.
Key points
- Repeated rapid clicks on one element.
- Separates broken from too slow: both lead to abandonment.
- Useful for ranking, not for diagnosis on its own.
