Trust signals, returns and delivery promises on Shopify
Trust is not a badge. It is whether the page answers the question the shopper is actually asking at the moment they ask it. This page is about the five places that question gets asked, and the five fixes Liftable can show on a store today.

Will it arrive, and when
A product page with no ‘arrives by’ or ‘ships in’ line leaves the most common pre-purchase question to checkout, where the shipping step answers it late and often badly. The delivery promise belongs beside the price, drafted from your own shipping profile so it is a fact and not a guess.
Can I send it back
Fit uncertainty is either a lost sale or a return. A returns policy exists on almost every store and is linked from almost no product page or cart. One line and a link, where the decision is made, is the cheapest change on this list. In markets with a statutory right to cancel, the line also has to agree with the law, which the market pages go through country by country.
Is this real
A home page whose first screen is a hero image and a discount offers no reason to believe the store exists next week. A guarantee, a press mention, a review count or a plain returns line above the fold answers that without a popup. A checkout that looks like a different company (different logo, colours, type) is a moment of doubt at the worst time, and the easiest thing on this page to fix in Shopify admin.
The checks that look for this
The free scan runs these on your own pages, desktop and mobile, and shows each finding with its evidence. Each check has its own page saying how to see the problem without installing anything.
Planned and not run by the scan yet: C7 (Checkout branding mismatch). The scan runs 35 of the 39 checks it defines.

What you get
- Where your store answers each of the three questions and where it does not, page by page, with the screenshot.
- A drafted delivery line and shipping policy link on the product page, and a returns line and refund policy link in the cart, on the product page and on the home page, each shown through Liftable’s theme app extension once you switch the block on.
- Copy drafted from your own shipping profile and refund policy, for you to read and approve before a shopper sees it.
- Measurement of the first one with the founding team, where your traffic can read it.
Who it is for
A good fit
- Brands with a high share of first-time buyers, or selling into markets where returns law is a selling point.
- Stores that want a change a shopper can see this week without a theme project.
Not the right tool
- Stores whose trust problem is reviews volume. Liftable can audit the reviews widget, but it does not collect reviews.
Questions
Which fixes can the theme app extension show today?
Five: a shipping line and policy link in the cart, a delivery line and policy link on the product page, and a returns line with a refund policy link in the cart, on the product page and on the home page. Each is a block you switch on in the theme editor; no theme file is written.
Where does the copy for the delivery line come from?
From your Shopify shipping profiles, which install reads. It is drafted as a change set you approve, and nothing is shown to a shopper until you do.
Does a returns line actually move conversion?
Sometimes, and only a measured test on your store can say. A test is sized before it starts and refused if your traffic cannot read it in a reasonable time; about 50,000 sessions a month is where a storefront change can be measured in a few weeks.
